President Lai Ching-te's trip to African ally Eswatini has been suspended after three countries, including Mauritius, revoked flight permits for his special aircraft. According to Mauritian media, an advisor to the Prime Minister's office stated that, out of respect for its relationship with China, the country would not take actions that could jeopardize that relationship. President Lai was originally scheduled to depart for Eswatini on the 22nd (Taiwan time), but the trip was suspended after Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar suddenly revoked the flight permits.
