The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' (MOFA) "Finding Taiwan #FindingTAIWAN" global video submission event has launched its 2.0 version this year. Director-General of MOFA's Department of International Information and Education, Chang Hsiu-chen, stated today (16th) that the theme for this event is "Where We Connect," encouraging creators to present stories of Taiwan's interconnectedness with the world. Additionally, a "Taiwan Panorama Special Award" has been established, inviting creators to use the database of "Taiwan Panorama Magazine," which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, as inspiration for reinterpretation and re-creation. #Reported by Reporter Wang Chao-kun# Last year, MOFA upgraded the "Taiwan the Cool" short film competition to the "Finding Taiwan" global video submission event. MOFA stated that the first "Finding Taiwan" attracted over 280 entries from more than 20 countries. Through the perspectives and lenses of creators from different cultural backgrounds, many moving stories about Taiwan were seen, successfully showcasing Taiwan's diverse and vibrant image to the international community. This year's "#FindingTAIWAN 2.0" global video submission competition, organized by MOFA, uses "Connection" as its theme, hoping to continue combining civilian creativity to introduce Taiwan to the world from more diverse perspectives. Director-General Chang Hsiu-chen of MOFA's Department of International Information and Education said: "(Original sound) We hope to encourage creators to start from different aspects such as democracy, innovation, culture, technology, and people-to-people exchanges, and to present stories of Taiwan's interconnectedness with the world from their own observations and creative perspectives, allowing the international community to understand Taiwan from more diverse angles." MOFA invites domestic and international image creators and those who care about Taiwan to participate actively. The event details will be officially announced before the end of June, with submissions expected in July and August, and an awards ceremony in late September. Detailed information regarding submission specifications, application methods, authorization regulations, and other submission guidelines will be promptly published by MOFA on the event's dedicated website.
