Regarding the content where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Nepalese Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal undermined the sovereignty of our country during their talks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (16th) sternly refuted and condemned it. It also warned the new Nepalese government to seriously face China's long-term threat to the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, and that echoing China's "One China Principle," used to harm the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, is harmful and unbeneficial to Nepal. #Reporter Wang Zhaokun's interview report# Nepal's new Foreign Minister Shisir visited Beijing. According to information from the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi "praised Nepal for firmly adhering to the One China Principle." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Wang Yi, in his interaction with Shisir, still disregarded international objective facts and falsely claimed the "One China Principle" as a fallacy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again sternly refutes and condemns this. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates that the Republic of China (Taiwan) is a sovereign and independent country, not subordinate to the People's Republic of China. Any false narrative attempting to undermine Taiwan's sovereign status cannot change this undeniable fact. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasizes that Taiwan is willing to continue cooperating with all countries that support freedom, democracy, and human rights to jointly and firmly safeguard the peace and security of the Taiwan Strait and maintain freedom and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Deputy Executive Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Public Relations Department, Chen Yijun, said: "(Original sound) The peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait are key to the security and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region. Moving forward, Taiwan will uphold the concept of comprehensive diplomacy and work hand-in-hand with like-minded countries to maintain a rules-based international order, jointly promoting democratic, peaceful, and prosperous development in the Indo-Pacific region." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also warns the new Nepalese government to seriously face China's long-term threat to the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, which is crucial for the security and prosperity of Nepal and even the world. It should also recognize China's expansionism in many regions and countries globally, its use of various improper means to push many countries into debt traps, and its persecution of ethnic minorities and suppression of religious freedom within its borders.
