[International] MLB / Playing Against the Astros, Lee Hao-yu Gets Two Hits in Two Consecutive Games

Major League Baseball (MLB) Detroit Tigers outfielder Lee Hao-yu started on the 16th, getting 2 hits in the game, including one double, contributing 1 RBI, and achieving two hits in two consecutive games; the Tigers ultimately lost to the Houston Astros 2-4. In the game between the Tigers and the Astros, the Tigers' Taiwanese star Lee Hao-yu started batting 8th and playing second base; the Tigers had an offensive push in the 2nd inning. Spencer Torkelson walked to load the bases. With two outs, Lee Hao-yu hit a single to left field, scoring the team's first run, but was thrown out trying to steal second base. In the 5th inning, Lee Hao-yu reached base on a fielder's choice after hitting an infield ground ball, but his teammates couldn't extend the rally; the Astros tied the game in the bottom of the 5th with a hit, a walk, and a passed ball. He advanced to third on a ground ball and then scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly. The Astros' offense reignited in the bottom of the 8th, scoring 2 runs with a hit, a fielder's choice, a walk, and a single by Raynel Delgado to take the lead, and then scoring their 4th run on a ground ball. The Tigers failed to score in the top of the 9th and suffered a loss. Lee Hao-yu went 2-for-3 at the plate, including his 4th double of the season, with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. He has now recorded two hits in two consecutive games, and his batting average is .239 after the game.
