China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Mongolian President Khurelsukh affirmed the 'One China Principle.' The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (14th) condemned China for repeatedly spreading false rhetoric about the 'One China Principle' during interactions with other countries, attempting to confuse international public opinion. It strongly urged the international community to recognize China's actions of undermining other countries' sovereign decisions through coercion and enticement.
According to a press release from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khurelsukh (Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh) stated on the 13th during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that Mongolia firmly adheres to the 'One China Principle' and believes Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out in the evening that the content of this news severely harms the sovereignty of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Regarding China's repeated dissemination of false rhetoric about the 'One China Principle' during interactions with other countries, distorting right and wrong and attempting to confuse international public opinion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues the most severe refutation and condemnation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Republic of China (Taiwan) is a sovereign and independent country, not subordinate to the People's Republic of China. This is an undeniable objective fact and the current status quo across the Taiwan Strait. Any false discourse attempting to smear Taiwan's sovereign status through speech or joint statements cannot change this indisputable fact.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again strongly urged the international community to seriously recognize China's long-term practice of undermining other countries' sovereign decisions through various forms of coercion and enticement. This is not only suppression targeting Taiwan but also a significant challenge to the global democratic system and the international rule of law.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that it will continue to deepen cooperation with all like-minded countries and uphold the democratic front. Regardless of any form of economic coercion or diplomatic bullying, the Republic of China (Taiwan) will adhere to its existing stance, actively connect with the world, and fully demonstrate national resilience.
