The LPGA Tournament of Champions concluded its final round on the 14th. Taiwanese star Hsu Wei-ling and her German partner Aline Krauter combined for 2 birdies and 1 bogey, shooting a 69. They finished with a 4-day total of 277, 3 under par, tied for 30th place. The Tournament of Champions, established in 2019, is one of the few team events on the LPGA Tour. This year's total prize money was $3.3 million USD (approximately NT$104 million) and it was held in Michigan. The event features a 2-person team format. The first and third rounds are played as four-ball (two players from the same team take turns hitting the same ball), while the second and fourth rounds are played as foursomes (two players from the same team each hit their own ball, and the better score is taken). Unfortunately, the final round was played in foursomes, where the best score between the two players is taken for each hole. Theoretically, scores should be lower, but Hsu Wei-ling and Krauter couldn't seize the opportunity, with their 69 in the final round being the highest score among all pairs. Before this tournament this season, Hsu Wei-ling had competed in 12 LPGA events, making the cut in 9 of them. Her best finish was a tie for 28th at the LA Championship in April. She is currently ranked 88th on the money list and 108th in tour points. The tournament was ultimately won by the American duo Gina Kim and 19-year-old Yana Wilson, who shot a blistering 62 in the final round to come from behind and win with a 4-day total of 263, 17 under par.
