[International] Philippines Experiences Another Strong Earthquake, Authorities Report Magnitude 6.6, No Casualties Expected

A strong earthquake occurred off the coast of southern Philippines today (15th). The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude of 6.6 with a focal depth of approximately 86 kilometers, and no casualties are expected.
According to Reuters, Phivolcs stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located southeast of Governor Generoso town in Davao Oriental province, Mindanao.
Furthermore, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred at 5:18 PM local time (same as Taiwan time) with a magnitude of 6.2.
Just a week ago, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Mindanao on the 8th, causing at least 65 deaths and over 450 injuries.
The Philippine authorities stated that the two earthquakes are unrelated, with epicenters over 250 kilometers apart. (Editor: Shen Zhen-jiang)
