[Life] Lin Hong-dao Resigns Abruptly as CTOC Chairman, Citing 'Too Busy with Personal Affairs'

Lin Hong-dao, who took office as chairman of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) Training Center in March this year, was reported to have resigned today (15th). The resignation is expected to be formally submitted at the board meeting on June 23rd. Lin Hong-dao subsequently confirmed the matter through a statement released by the Hong Dao Foundation.
Lin Hong-dao stated that due to his long-term commitment to multiple corporate management and public welfare affairs, his workload has been extremely heavy. After careful consideration, he has decided to resign from the position of chairman of the National Sports Training Center.
Lin Hong-dao pointed out that the CTOC Training Center bears the important mission of cultivating national athletic talent, and the chairman's role requires a significant investment of time and energy. Out of respect for his responsibilities and to avoid impacting the operation and development of the CTOC Training Center due to his personal busy schedule, he has decided to resign, allowing someone who can dedicate more time to take over the important role.
However, he also emphasized that stepping down does not mean leaving the sports sector; his passion and support for Taiwanese sports remain unchanged. In the future, he will continue to support athlete development, sports talent cultivation, and various sports-related public welfare initiatives through the resources of his businesses and foundation, acting as a steadfast supporter of Taiwanese sports.
